Wijnands is a flexible transport company, and planners certainly need to be flexible. I sometimes find myself with the key in my hand, switching off the lights, about to go home, when I hear the telephone ring. It is not uncommon for additional cargoes to be announced at the last minute. I'm used to that. The work of a planner is rather like completing a puzzle. You have sixty vehicles, the use of which needs to be carefully scheduled with a variety of trailers and types of freight. Who, what, when, where, and with which trailer: We ensure that all these variables are combined as efficiently as possible in the schedule.
